Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara Dissanayake well received in India says state media

Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara dissanayake was received well in India,reported the Colombo governments official web portal.
The island nation’s president made his maiden official tour to India this evevning after being elected to the top office on September 21.Both the Indian and Sri Lankan leaders are expected to discuss various issues during the Sri Lankan leaders two day visit.
Meanwhile it is also reported that Mr.Gajendrakumar Ponnampalam leader of the Tamil National Peoples Front has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that only a Federal solution to the Tamil National question in Sri Lanka is that will bring true reconciliation in the country at the present context, and urged Prime Minister Modi to consider discussing it with the visiting Sri Lanka’s President. The Sri Lankan official portal in its report said,that the Indian media gave significant coverage to the President’s arrival by displaying imagesĀ of both President Dissanayake and Prime Minister Narendra ModiĀ on billboards around major roundabouts in New Delhi.
